Runs after-school and summer youth clubs at five Martin County locations.
About
Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County began in 1989, when Peggy Cole and Hays Clark opened the first club in a Hobe Sound shopping plaza with 165 children. It now runs five sites: Hobe Sound, Indiantown, Port Salerno, Greater Stuart and Jensen Beach High School.
Clubs offer homework help, character programs, sports and healthy living activities. Teens can join workforce training with industry certifications and a culinary program that includes a food truck and catering. The group also runs 21st Century Community Learning Centers and AmeriCorps programs.
