Wildlife hospital that treats injured and orphaned animals and releases them to the wild.

About

Treasure Coast Wildlife Center was founded in 1974 by Jean Henry and Ruth Stanwood. The Palm City nonprofit cares for injured, sick and orphaned wild animals and returns them to the wild. It serves Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee and Palm Beach counties.

The wildlife hospital is open daily, and visitors can tour the grounds Thursday through Sunday. The center offers education programs, private guided tours and animal ambassador visits for parties and events. It is funded by grants and donations.
